Two Head Sculpture progress photos

Artist Statement: I made two different sculptures with two different topics for each one. The first head sculpture was a representation of two different emotions, happiness, and anger, which are the two emotions that I can express a lot in some cases. The second head sculpture was a multicolor style of the word "Amazing!", which represents how I view art in general. For the first head sculpture, I had to mold it into the nose to get it to stick out because that was the one part of the face that does that compared to the rest. The second thing I did was I had to press in the location where the eyes were so that I could place in two small balls to make them look like the pupils. As a result of the eyeball curving, I managed to create eyebrows for both faces, which was a way to demonstrate the feeling. The third thing I did was make the lips stick out, even though it was not like the nose part in reality, for another demonstration of the facial expression of both emotions. Th

Artist Statement: My Gregor's room model is a demonstration of loneliness in outer space. I made Gregor resemble an anthropomorphic cat with a green nose in astronaut clothing. The orange mattress represents that attention that Gregor most desires but does not seem to quite get it. The yellow on the blanket represents the happiness that Gregor feels when he does want to be alone and when he wants to be with others. The blue pillow represents the sadness that Gregor feels when no one wants to be around him. The small green pillow represents the calm environment when Gregor is seen to be the only one in the room. The treasure chest that is next to his bed is filled with many of the interests that can keep him occupied in his bedroom as he wishes that he could share them with someone that has the same ones like his. In my progress photos, I had to wrap a lot of paper together with water instead of glue or tape. With the mattress, I had to a 9 x 12 paper to another to shape it up the s
